Meet Iba Soumare! Iba is in the 8th grade and this is his first year at The Nest Academy! Iba loves playing soccer (his favorite position is attacking mid), drawing, and playing video games (especially Fortnite)! At his old school, Iba says there was too much fighting, other students were disrespectful to the teachers to the point that they would quit, and he felt like he wasn’t learning enough. Iba loves the different learning style that he is experiencing here at the Academy! He says there is more freedom and independent work which helps him learn better. And, to Iba, the best part is that nobody gets bullied and they get to learn about Christ! Iba’s favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 1:7, “But the Lord said to me, ‘Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.'”
